Samuel had a varied career prior to coming to Christ the King. He began boxing in North Philadelphia at the age of ten, as a means of self-defense. By the age of 15, he had won five Golden Glove championships. He went on to become a professional boxer for five years. At a time when his boxing career was looking very promising, the Lord called him for something greater and Samuel obeyed.

Samuel became a Christian at the age of fifteen. He immediately undertook a 40 day water-only fast. He came out of this experience with intense love for the Lord and a special anointing for ministry. He has ministered across the church in evangelistic and deliverance ministry. He also developed a Christian rap music ministry. He impacted thousands of youth through his varied ministries.

Samuel has served a number of churches and has been mentored by a number of men of God. One of the longest mentorships was with Allan Yoder pastor of good Shepherd Community Church, Reamstown, PA. Samuel served there for five years as a youth leader.
